Our Story
Professional glazing, local accountability
Colfax Glass started on Auburn Street in Colfax, California — a small-town glass shop rooted in the Sierra foothills. Owner Wayne built the business on straightforward work: measure accurately, recommend the right product, install it clean, and stand behind the result. That approach earned repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals across Placer and Nevada counties.
As the company grew, so did its reach. We expanded along the I-80 corridor from Foresthill and Auburn to Rocklin, Roseville, and Sacramento, and then to the southern Oregon and northern California coast — serving Brookings, Crescent City, and surrounding communities. The two-region model works because the needs overlap: foothill homes deal with elevation, snow load, and dry-heat expansion, while coastal properties face salt air, wind-driven rain, and moisture intrusion. Both demand products and installation methods built for the long term.
Today we offer 11 services — from window replacement and entry doors to frameless shower enclosures, skylights, custom mirrors, glass cutting, and commercial repairs. We work with trusted manufacturers including Milgard, JELD-WEN, VELUX, Ply Gem, Cardinal, HMI, C.R. Laurence, and Coeur D'Alene Windows, which means we can match the right product to the job instead of pushing whatever's in stock.
